Dr. Wilkinson works with individuals experiencing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, attention and concentration difficulties, trauma-related symptoms, mood disorders, stress, relationship challenges, and questions related to identity and personal growth. His practice welcomes individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and life experiences.

Treatment is guided by the understanding that every person is unique. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, Dr. Wilkinson works collaboratively with patients and families to develop a treatment plan that reflects their goals, strengths, values, and circumstances.

Why see a board-certified psychiatrist?

board-certified psychiatrist is a medical doctor (MD or DO) who has completed:

  • Medical school (4 years)

  • A rigorous residency in psychiatry (typically 4 years)

  • A comprehensive board certification exam administered by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or equivalent

Board certification reflects advanced expertise and ongoing commitment to high standards in psychiatric diagnosis, treatment, and medication management. Psychiatrists are licensed to prescribe medication and provide psychotherapy. Dr. Wilkinson has completed additional subspecialty training in child & adolescent psychiatry (2 years) and forensic psychiatry (1 year) and holds board certifications in those fields as well.

Fees & Insurance

Dr. Wilkinson is an out-of-network provider and does not participate in insurance plans. Payment is due at the time of service; however, patients may be eligible for partial reimbursement depending on their out-of-network benefits. Upon request, a detailed superbill can be provided for submission to your insurance company. Many patients also choose to use Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) to cover the cost of care. Forensic psychiatric services are structured differently from clinical care: they are typically arranged through an attorney or retaining party, billed under a separate agreement, and often require advance payment or retainer.
