Jack Wilkinson, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist offering thoughtful, evidence-based care for adults, adolescents, and children.
He specializes in psychotherapy and medication management tailored to each person’s goals, values, and stage of life, and is licensed to see patients in New York and California.
Dr. Wilkinson received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University, where he studied Politics with a focus on Global Health and Health Policy. His early academic work emphasized the intersections of healthcare, public systems, and social equity.
He went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania, along with a Certificate in Public Health Medicine, completing additional coursework in law, policy, and public health leadership, and an externship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
He completed his residency in adult psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco, gaining broad experience treating adults in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings.
He subsequently pursued advanced training in child and adolescent psychiatry and forensic psychiatry at Cornell and Columbia. His combined training enables him to provide thoughtful, developmentally informed care to individuals across the lifespan.

He works with people navigating a wide range of issues — including anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, attention difficulties, mood instability, and identity questions — and has particular experience helping those in high-stress environments, such as healthcare, law, and education.
Dr. Wilkinson also has a longstanding interest in LGBTQ+ mental health and strives to provide care that is affirming, inclusive, and welcoming to people of all backgrounds.
