The initial evaluation is a foundational part of treatment. It allows time to gather a full picture of a patient’s current difficulties, medical and psychiatric history, and personal goals. It may include psychological assessment, diagnostic formulation, and consideration of multiple treatment options.
A single 90-minute intake session is typically sufficient, though in some cases a second appointment may be needed.
This session includes:
A detailed history and diagnostic evaluation
Review of prior records (if available)
Formulation of initial treatment recommendations

30-minute visits are appropriate for:
Medication management for stable conditions
Patients seeing an outside therapist
Follow-up of specific, focused concerns

Psychotherapy is integrated with medication management
More complex concerns requiring extended time
Patients prefer to engage in regular talk therapy with Dr. Wilkinson

Do you accept insurance?

Dr. Wilkinson is an out-of-network provider and does not accept insurance. Payment is due at the time of service. We provide superbills which you may submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.
